US - LLC Recruiting is Hiring a Territory Manager - DE/MD/DC Near Baltimore, MD

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Territory Manager to join our amazing culture. In this role, manage and control Field Service Technician performance, equipment installation and performance, operating costs, Time & Material work and quality to achieve established goals and objectives. The Territory Manager will communicate with customers to ensure customer satisfaction levels are met or exceeded, that customers maintain their service contract relationship with BranchServ and to contribute to our efforts to increase service contract revenues. The Territory Manager will act as an integral part of the Regional management team by actively contributing to Territory and Region revenue growth, margin expansion and customer satisfaction metrics attainment. What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Supervise a team of 12-20 Field Service Technicians.
  • Internal interface with Regional management, CSR’s, Shared Services Team, as well as other service support personnel (Divisional and Regional) and Headquarter support groups.
  • Work with existing sales partner(s) within the territory to develop new service contract customers.
  • External interface with customers, prospective customer base, equipment vendors, general contractors and sub-contractors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assure customer satisfaction levels for service and installation are met or exceeded throughout assigned territory.

  • Managing Team Manpower: Regularly review and approve all service manpower requirements following established manpower guidelines. Including installation support, project support, training schedules, vacations, major account support, team meetings, skills assessment, cycle counts, and any other service needs.
  • Product & Service Sales: Work independently to provide service and product proposals to new accounts, working to develop and secure new business relationships. Work in a team environment to support existing sales efforts in the development, installation and profitability of new sales to existing customers.
  • Cycle Count Activity: Request worksheets and provide to Field Service Technicians, work with CSR and Supply Chain to coordinate scheduling of cycle counts, data entry and variance request.
  • Manage Subcontractors: Coordinate projects (i.e. vault PM’s) with subcontractor, ensuring calls are closed out in our Field One system. Coordination and interface with all departments to ensure all cost and revenues are captured correctly. 
  • WO Escalation: Handle any urgent matters that affect Field Service Technician and customers as they arise.
  • General Follow-up: Interface/communicate to ensure projects or commitments are on schedule and completed, including parts or product availability. Ensure WO numbers are received for installation or projects and are closed properly in a timely fashion. Check billed work WO’s to ensure customers are invoiced for work performed. 
  • Assist to develop the capabilities of Field Service Technician assigned within the territory to assure they are trained, productive and proficient to meet or exceed our customers’ needs by providing superior product and customer service.
  • Attend and participate in required or necessary training or education to enhance skill set increase knowledge for career advancement.
  • Provide customer base with prompt, efficient, effective, and quality service support and installation within the designated territory.
  • Drive revenue and margin growth objectives within territory.
  • Manage KPI’s to ensure attainment according to customer SLA’s.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a 2-year Technical Degree in Engineering Systems, Business Administration or Management or equivalent experience. Architectural, engineering or construction industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Motivated individual with a combination of good business and problem solving skills.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and people successfully.
  • Must be able to interface with customers and function well in a team environment.
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to communicate effectively (oral/written); and ability to satisfy customers.
  • Solid organizational skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Hands-on technical and operations managerial experience a plus.
