U.S. Got People is searching for a Medical/Clinical Laboratory Technician to work Full-Time at the Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.

Qualifications for Laboratory Technicians

  • Graduate of Medical Lab Tech Training Program accredited by NAACLS, ABHES, or a program acceptable to the AMT
  • 1 year of experience as a Clinical or Medical Laboratory Technician
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association

Job duties for Laboratory Technicians may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform clinical lab tests in various sections of the laboratory
  • Determine the suitability of and prepare specimens for analysis
  • Prepare specimens for transport/mail-out
  • Prepare reagents and primary reference materials
  • Conduct Quality Control Procedures, calibrate, standardize, adjust, and maintain instruments, making simple repairs when needed
  • Recognize and react to indicators of malfunction.
  • Obtain and correlate data
  • Prepare biological waste for proper disposal
