Job Title: Fleet Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our distribution operations. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the distribution process, including logistics, fleet operations, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize distribution operations, improve efficiency, and meet customer demands.
Logistics Management: Coordinate the transportation of customer orders from production facility to customer sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety regulations. Will be responsible for increasing route profitability and efficiency.
Fleet Operations: Manage a fleet of 13 delivery vehicles, including scheduling maintenance and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the safe handling and transportation of compressed gas and liquid, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including DOT regulations, OSHA guidelines, FDA procedures and industry-specific standards for handling and transporting compressed gas and liquid.
Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of distribution staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Customer Service: Collaborate with sales, production and customer service teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Cost Management: Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and streamline distribution operations without compromising safety or quality standards.
Key Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, fleet utilization, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Risk Management: Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential liabilities and ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a minimum of five years of experience in fleet/distribution management
● Strong knowledge of distribution processes and logistics management.
● Experience managing DOT regulations, OSHA guidelines, and other regulatory requirements related to the handling and transportation of compressed gas and liquid.
● Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of distribution staff.
● Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
● Proven track record of driving results, meeting targets, and achieving operational excellence in a distribution environment.
● Professional certifications in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation management.
● Experience with ERP systems and other relevant software applications for transportation.
● Open to obtaining a commercial driver license with a HazMat endorsement.
