We are seeking a per diem (RN) nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team in Fort Worth, Texas. The schedule varies from 6:00 am - 3:00 pm and 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday. We typically need a per diem RN two weeks out of the month. The number of days needed per week can vary. Some weeks could be Mon - Fri while other weeks may be Mon/Tues or Wed-Fri. Working hours depend on how many procedures we have per day.

How You'll Contribute:

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the ASC RN is responsible for:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provide patient education

What You'll Bring:

The skills and education we need are:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
