Serving as a Supply Technician GS-2005-7 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Practical Support Branch (PSB), Student Services Division (SSD) under the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate (MRSD) located in Glynco, Georgia.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supply Technician responsible for performing duties related to the scheduling, assigning, coordination, preparation, and accountability of all practical exercise equipment.

As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.

Background Investigation: To ensure the accomplishment of our mission, the FLETC requires every employee to be reliable and trustworthy. Work Environment: Work is usually performed in offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, schools or similar settings involving everyday risks or discomforts. Some assignments may be conducted in an industrial training environment where the position may be subject to minor injuries. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Position may be required to drive a government-owned or government-leased vehicle to perform duties at locations on and off-site.
Physical Demands: Work assignments require lifting and moving of audiovisual equipment, crime scene investigation kits, and weapons. Work requires bending, stooping, and long periods of standing on hard surfaces. Lifting can involve items that are sometimes bulky and difficult to handle weighing in excess of 50 lbs.

This assessment will be used to further assess an applicant's technical proficiency as it relates to the position.
