FV-I Duties: Performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the limited direction of a manager, project/ program manager, team leader, or more experienced technical specialist. May act as a contributing specialist on large work activities or as a team leader for single or small work activities.

Serves as a solution architect planning, coordinating, and conducting projects and studies. Is responsible for developing, integrating, and implementing solutions to diverse, complex problems.
Leverages low-code application platforms to rapidly prototype and deploy applications to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
Develops plans, techniques and policies to address current or anticipated problems and issues. Works with management to jointly solve problems. Provides policy guidance and instruction to others, both internally and externally.
Analyzes trends, identifies problems and those factors most likely to impact operating costs, profitability, and continued compliance with regulatory requirements.

FV-J Duties: Recognized as a senior technical expert for complex and challenging activities under minimal direction of a manager or executive. Serves as an Applications Developer for the organization to develop, deploy and manage innovative information technology applications and capabilities to enhance the organization’s capabilities to manage programmatic and operational data as well as safety data of aircraft operating in the National Airspace System (NAS).
Ensures the integration of IT programs and services; develops solutions to integration/interoperability issues; designs, develops, and manages IT security systems that meet current and future business requirements. Applies or extends, enhances, or optimizes the existing architecture. Manages assigned projects; communicating complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel; and preparing and presenting briefings to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues. Such work assignments include: leading IT application development projects from design to support, following standards and applying best practices across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); evaluating the effectiveness of implemented applications; and providing advice on and devising solutions to a wide range of IT issues.
