US Farm Service Agency is Hiring a County Key Program Technician Near Des Moines, IA

Duties

  • Assists the State Office with projects as assigned.
  • Serve as a central resource for expert guidance, coordination, and assistance at the county office level with a district-wide or statewide collaboration for assigned programs.
  • Explains procedures, program regulations and forms in the assigned programs to agency personnel.
  • Provides guidance on web-based software applications to Program Technicians.
  • Develops and contributes creative ideas and solutions to program operations and/or issues resulting in added value to the State's products and services.

  • You must be a US Citizen or US National.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service Registered or Exempt.
  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
  • Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.

You may start at the CO-08 level if you have the following qualifications:
One year of experience directly related to the functions of the position to be filled equivalent to the CO-07 in FSA County service or GS-07 in FSA Federal service. Experience that shows your ability to perform more complex or difficult duties: and that shows your ability to learn the specific work of this position.
