Summary:
US Farathane is seeking an experienced Quality Auditor (Job summary). This position is responsible for supporting the Quality Systems including auditing of in-process product per required instructions as well as all associated documented work instructions, Forms and Procedures referencing the Quality Auditors responsibilities. Final Dock auditing as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform Receiving Inspection and Dock Auditing as required.
· Complete all necessary documentation including tags and labels per the TS 16949, within expected or given time periods.
· Perform First Piece inspection and Last Piece Inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.
· Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements.
· Assist in sort operations as needed.
· Immediately report all discrepancies to Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager.
· Informally monitor quality system to cell/areas concerning labels, documentation, lot numbers, first piece samples for procedural adherence.
· Performs all other duties as requested by the Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager
· Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates and supervision whenever necessary, including shift crossover.
· Participate in team problem solving activities (i.e.: 8D’s, communication meetings, etc).
· Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
· Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e.: Quality Manual, Associate Handbook, etc.).
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.
· Knowledge of critical areas / features on product and ability to use quality tools to validate product requirements (i.e. Calipers, gages, check fixtures, X-Rite, Moisture checking, McBeth light and Dial Indicators, ect.) as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of quality systems and standards. Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage. Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors
and other employees of the organization. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Good organizational and communication skills
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to do simple math; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using positive and negative numbers as well as, decimal and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
