US Farathane is Hiring a Quality Auditor - 2nd Shift Near Westland, MI

Summary:

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Quality Auditor (Job summary). This position is responsible for supporting the Quality Systems including auditing of in-process product per required instructions as well as all associated documented work instructions, Forms and Procedures referencing the Quality Auditors responsibilities. Final Dock auditing as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform Receiving Inspection and Dock Auditing as required.

· Complete all necessary documentation including tags and labels per the TS 16949, within expected or given time periods.

· Perform First Piece inspection and Last Piece Inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.

· Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements.

· Assist in sort operations as needed.

· Immediately report all discrepancies to Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager.

· Informally monitor quality system to cell/areas concerning labels, documentation, lot numbers, first piece samples for procedural adherence.

· Performs all other duties as requested by the Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager

· Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates and supervision whenever necessary, including shift crossover.

· Participate in team problem solving activities (i.e.: 8D’s, communication meetings, etc).

· Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.

· Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e.: Quality Manual, Associate Handbook, etc.).

· Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.

· Knowledge of critical areas / features on product and ability to use quality tools to validate product requirements (i.e. Calipers, gages, check fixtures, X-Rite, Moisture checking, McBeth light and Dial Indicators, ect.) as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of quality systems and standards. Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage. Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors

and other employees of the organization. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Good organizational and communication skills

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to do simple math; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using positive and negative numbers as well as, decimal and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
