• Ability to interpret spectacle prescriptions
• Assist in patient frame selection
• Accurate measurements
• Knowledge of latest technology in lens designs
• Skilled in frame adjustments and repairs
• Explanation and application of vision insurance benefits
• Use of computer order entry
• Verification of eyewear order accuracy for quality control

• Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and manage time accordingly to meet deadlines and requirements of the organization.

• This is a full-time positions based in Sarasota County Florida. (North Port, Venice, Englewood, Sarasota).
• Full-time position with days and hours Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm.
• Travel to other locations as necessary.

• An Associate’s degree in opticianry from an accredited educational institution or completion of a Florida apprenticeship program as well as Licensure in the State of Florida is preferred.

• A high school graduate or equivalent (required)
• Excellent communication and listening skills to properly address patient needs (required)
• Customer Service or service-related experience is a plus (required)
