This position is located within the Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), Associate Director of Administration, Human Resources Division (HRD), Strategic Human Capital Branch, HR Process and Evaluation Unit in Sterling, VA.
At the full performance level (GS-7) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Monitors the Division's office supply inventory and orders supplies as needed using a Government purchase card. Prepares purchase orders and requisitions and monitors procurement requests. Tracks and monitors Division inventory and controlled property. Tracks and prepares Annual Inventory of System-Controlled Property. Keeps property transfer and property assignment information up to date.
2. Independently determines the best method for purchasing supplies, materials, services, and equipment for the Human Resources Division (HRD).
3. Assists HR Staff with preparation of travel itineraries and ensures travel vouchers and claims are timely submitted to Finance. Assists with troubleshooting ConcurGov issues. Accurately applies all travel rules to complete travel vouchers or any other administrative information that needs to be filed after trips are completed.
4. Registers staff members for training courses and seminars and prepares training, registration, and payment documents. Obtains required supervisory approvals and account codes on required documents.
5. Serves as the HRD's Records Liaison. Establishes and maintains HRD office records. Identifies vital records and ensures record retention and disposition schedule is accurate, up to date, and implemented. Ensures proper procedures, format, wording, etc. are followed in those documents. Organizes regular meetings with HRD Management Team to promote consistency and share information.
6. Assists Program Analyst with the continued development of SharePoint sites and processes within ServiceNow Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) platform.
7. Assists Management & Program Analyst with HRD's budget/procurement. Develops spreadsheets and databases as necessary to monitor, track and analyze the Division's expenditures. Assists in the planning of the yearly budget. Prepares financial documents, ensures timeliness of obligations and the availability of funds in accordance with regulations and policies. Inputs all purchase card transactions and assists with labor cost reallocations.

Salary Range Information:
GS-05: ($45,146 - $58,686) per annum.
GS-06: ($50,326 - $65,425) per annum.
First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.
