Combat Medic Specialist (MOS 68W)OverviewAs a Combat Medic Specialist, you'll administer emergency medical care in the field in both combat and humanitarian situations. Your training will allow you to serve as a first responder and triage illnesses and injuries to save lives, much like a paramedic in the civilian world. You'll also train other Soldiers in lifesaver/first responder courses and provide care on base while not deployed. Job Duties
Administer emergency medical treatment to battlefield casualties
Assist with outpatient and inpatient care and treatment
Prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis
Prepare patients, operating rooms, equipment and supplies for surgery

Basic Requirements
MUST ENLIST IN THE US ARMY OR US ARMY RESERVE.
Must be a High school Graduate or GED Holder.

No Majors Medical/Permanent Health Conditions.
Additional Requirements
10 Weeks or Basic Training.
16 Weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
