Performs work that involves planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, within a virtualized IT environment. Analyzes all IT systems, using standard principles, theories, concepts and methods for systems administration, including cloud-hosted and on-premises. Implements security plans, policies, and preventative maintenance schedules. Utilizes diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques to verify operability, optimize the functionality of networks and systems. Carries out routine maintenance, upgrade, and support of hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Provides ongoing optimization and problem-solving support to minimize interruptions to carry out critical business activities. Managers user rights for access to systems and equipment. Interprets and applies best practices IAW information security and information assurance policy, principles, and practices. Prepares and presents reports and briefings to technical staff and mangement.
