ASR International Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineering position working as part of our team supporting the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers® Jacksonville District.
The Civil Engineer is an important member of the ASR Team and will be providing their expertise in at least one of the following specialty areas: earthwork, handling of hazardous materials, water management, aggregate processing, concrete placement, and testing, FDOT regulations, LEED guidelines, structural, construction management, among other activities related to the civil engineering career focused on general and heavy construction.
Location: Various Work Site locations throughout the State of Florida
Job Description:
Serve as a Quality Assurance Representative II in addition to the following duties:
make decisions on necessity for design changes in relation to construction status from the standpoint of feasibility, economy, and standard practices.
Initiates and designs modifications, including technical descriptions not involving major revisions of large scope to plans and specifications.
Reviews for adequacy, proposed revisions, and effect on construction with any appropriate design recommendations to correct design deficiencies and/or field conditions, modification of methods to accommodate technological changes of special systems, changes desired by using agency and as requested by contractors.
Requirements:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree - Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) Registration desired, Florida preferred,
Active Security Clearance desired
Target Experience: Seven (7) years professional experience in construction quality control, with five (5) or more years’ experience in heavy civil projects.
Ability to communicate effectively with UASCE customer and contractor personnel at all levels.
High comfort level working with and around all organizational levels, clients, suppliers, and visitors.
Physically capable of walking over rough terrain and standing for long periods of time.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Travel required throughout Florida.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Must be a US Citizen.
