US Anesthesia Partners is Hiring a Finance Director Near Maitland, FL

Overview

Position is responsible for directing and overseeing the financial activities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the healthcare industry. Include preparation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlook. This position provides leadership, oversight, guidance and overall management of the Finance Department, which includes developing and improving operational goals of department, staffing, training, development of staff.

Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)

  • Develops regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required.
  • Oversees the Finance team and works closely with Accounting, Revenue Cycle, and all divisions as needed.
  • Provides ongoing financial modeling and analysis expertise to business partners.
  • Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
  • Reviews reports to analyze projections of revenue and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.
  • Leads platform audits on annual or ad hoc basis.
  • Confers with senior management and division leaders to coordinate and prioritize planning.
  • Studies long-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth in overall revenue and market share, opportunities for acquisitions or expansion into new areas.
  • Provides analytics assistance during contract negotiations such as stipend considerations, staffing requirements, and managed care analysis, may vary by platform.
  • Ensures timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist senior management in performing their responsibilities.
  • Establishes credibility throughout the organization and with senior management as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
  • Provides technical financial advice and knowledge to others.
  • Develops Finance team goals that are fully aligned with the company goals. Advises from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the Company may enter.
  • Evaluates the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities of individuals.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs):

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance and five (5) years financial management experience in a healthcare company; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience at management level for oversight of functions and/or staff.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal/written).
  • Experience in financial software, office systems (i.e. Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to work and present analysis and recommendations to executive leadership, as needed.
