US Allergy & Asthma is Hiring a Front Desk Medical Receptionist Near Frisco, TX

Front Desk Job Description

  • Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
  • Conduct oneself to ensure patient confidentiality at all times in keeping with HIPAA guidelines
  • Answering phones promptly
  • Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
  • Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
  • Notifying providers of patient arrivals
  • Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions
  • Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
  • Importing and updating patient demographics into EMR
  • Verifying patient insurance and entering data correctly into EMR
  • Ensuring referrals are complete prior to patient scheduling
  • Verifying financial records and collecting patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Works with vendors to facilitate buy and bill programming and to expedite prior authorization processes
  • Establishes harmonious work environment with coworkers and physician

Required Skill to be successful in this role

  • Communication skills to converse clearly over the telephone and in person
  • Organization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively
  • Attention to detail to schedule patients correctly and communicate scheduling difficulties with providers
  • Technological skills, such as using word processing and spreadsheet programs to track data
  • Interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients who may be upset or stressed
  • Able to multi-task, cool headed, pleasant and kind demeanor
  • Understanding and knowledge of CPT codes
  • Master of insurance portals
  • Ability to create insurance estimates
  • Superior verification skills a must

Qualifications for Front Desk Position

  • 3 years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
  • Friendly and compassionate disposition
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
