The NP will contribute information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career, consider the opportunities that Urology of Virginia has to offer!General Duties and Responsibilities:•Demonstrate a high degree of general medical and urological knowledge and exercise independent judgment as appropriate•Assess the patient’s medical condition by completion of a urological examination•Document appropriately and communicate with the appropriate physician in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to: evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, treatment notes, and other reports as requested •Order and evaluate laboratory, radiological and diagnostic tests•Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications and devices based on the patient’s medical condition•Develop and perform treatment plans in accordance with established protocols•Order physical therapy, occupational therapy and/or home health care as appropriate•Fulfill hospital rounding duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum 5 years working in Nurse Practitioner roleUrology of Surgical experience preferredGraduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner programNurse Practitioner licensure in VirginiaAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
