Our ideal candidate has extensive experience coordinating the functions of an operations facility, including receiving, order scheduling, inventory control, order selection, storage, loading and will-call.

Scheduled shift for this position will be:  Sunday – Thursday 3:00 pm to 1:00 am.

Your week to week as our Warehouse Operations Manager:

  • Assemble, maintain, and train a staff that is adequate to carry out the immediate and future needs of the company.
  • Coordinate the functions of receiving, order scheduling, inventory control, order selection, warehouse, storage, loading and will call.
  • Directly manage a team Warehouse Supervisors and provide coaching and performance evaluation in order to maintain a cohesive, motivated and capable workforce.
  • Provide for the continuing development & training of personnel.
  • Keep immediate supervisors advised of operational conditions, especially any that might create a current or future problem.
  • Assure compliance with sanitation requirements with State WISHA and Federal OSHA regulations.
  • Delegate responsibilities & assign personnel to carry them out. Follow up on the execution of assigned responsibilities to determine adequacy of performance.
  • Prepare annual departmental report indicating progress made against annual MBO goals.
  • Conduct yearly appraisals of supervising personnel aimed at activating self-development & to strengthen employee capabilities & awareness.
  • Handle customer complaints & establish written directives to correct those conditions.
  • Make recommendations for improvements within the distribution center & the entire company.
  • Provide information & recommendations on all capital expenditures required within your jurisdiction.
  • Achieve production objectives as established.

To be a successful candidate, you will need the following experience:

  • 5 to 7 years successful working experience in a supervisor/management role in an operations/warehouse facility.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels Strong desire to focus on the timely completion of goals; ability to set specific measurable improvement goals and match resources, tools, and action plans to requirements for success.
  • Management experience in a warehouse environment or business involved in the distribution of goods.
  • Familiar with best practices for inventory control, loss prevention, quality control, productivity management, and Company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to execute management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including but not limited to training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment with rapid and everchanging priorities.
  • Professional demeanor, keen social awareness skills with developed interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with all parties involved with our business.
  • Must have high-level of integrity, dependability, and a strong work ethic with a keen sense of urgency and results oriented approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and to create cross-functional alignment.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, especially in the development of actions plans and to ensure accountability and follow through.
  • Union experience a plus!
