Job Title: Vacation Rental Property Manager

Reports to: Operations Manager

Supervises: Housekeeping Cleaners, Maintenance Tasks, and Vendors

Job Summary:

The Vacation Rental Property Manager ensures properties are clean and well-maintained for guest stays, coordinating tasks and managing vendors.

Position Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Inspecting the Vacation Rental Properties in our program prior to guest arrival to ensure cleanliness and readiness of properties.
  • Reporting all maintenance/safety issues and guest damages and conducting inventory of household items and conditions.
  • Coordinating tasks and assisting with the scheduling of housekeeping, maintenance, and vendors for last-minute issues or reservations and third-party vendors.
  • Operationally overseeing updating projects - verifying all purchases and delivered items that were ordered are in the correct home and ready to be installed.
  • Participating in the organization and facilitating of company storage units that require inventory, ordering/delivering of purchased items, maintaining stock items, and reporting the needs for ordering supplies.
  • Must have skills that require a great deal of attention to detail, being organized, utilizing effective time management skills.
  • Able to think clearly in pressure situations, exercise good judgment, and use creative solutions.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical skills, communication via phone, email, and text.
  • Must have exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Must be highly professional when conversing with guests, owners, vendors, and teammates.
  • Promote a professional appearance when in the field and adhere to a cooperative working environment.
  • Assist with the ordering and delivery process, contacting, meeting, and collaborating with vendors/distributors, and creating relationships with them.
  • Travel to stores to shop for any required items needed to set up/staging (including construction materials and design decor) while staying within budget.
  • Follow all Upstay’s procedures and guidelines and applicable law and regulations.
  • Promote safe behavior in the workplace.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: 3 years of vacation rental property management and housekeeping experience with 3 years leading teams.
  • Education: College diploma (preferably) or 3 years or more of direct job experience equivalent.
  • Must be flexible to be available on weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs, bend, and climb stairs.
  • Must reside in the Austin area or be willing to relocate prior to start. Knowledge of the Austin area is a plus but GPS is even better!
  • Must be fluent in both written and oral English. Spanish is a PLUS!

Other qualifications:

  • Computer/tech-savvy, familiarity with Google Drive, Breezeway, and Guesty (a PLUS).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
