Assistant Route Manager

Overview

The Assistant Route Manager is a crucial role with a strong emphasis on in-field supervision within our branch operations. This position is integral to developing potential Branch Manager candidates and offers a comprehensive training program to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage a branch. As the in-field leader, the Assistant Route Manager supervises daily route team operations and, when the Branch Manager is absent, assumes full responsibility for branch operations. Success in this role is pivotal in Urbanex's mission to deliver peace of mind to our customers.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Audit product and equipment usage, collaborating closely with the Branch Manager to investigate any discrepancies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse workshop area.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in designing and conducting morning training sessions as needed.
  • Ensure daily compliance with fleet vehicle and image standards, promptly addressing any emerging issues.
  • Implement and enforce Urbanex standards, including but not limited to team member's time and attendance, uniform compliance, service execution, customer service, culture, and behavior.
  • Oversee monthly truck inspections as directed, ensuring comprehensive completion of all inspections.
  • Assume full responsibility for branch operations when the Branch Manager is absent.
  • Regularly review driver scores and evaluate safety concerns reported through Samsara, ensuring technicians are held accountable as per the Branch Manager's directives.
  • Monitor timecards to ensure all technicians are accurately recording their time worked in compliance with company and legal requirements.
  • Supervise projects delegated by the Branch Manager to the route team.


Personal Responsibilities

  • Embody the Urbanex mission statement and core values in all actions.
  • Deliver top-tier service on all assigned routes, adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Complete service routes as needed due to call-outs, covering scheduled time off, customer requirements, excessive drive time, or other branch-specific needs.
  • Serve as the primary source of in-field support, which includes in-field inspections, training, and equipment repair.
  • Conduct daily/weekly service ticket audits as assigned and ensure that all technicians submit required documentation in compliance with local and federal regulations.
  • Continuously monitor routes throughout the day to ensure technicians complete their tasks within the specified time frames of a typical workday.
  • Execute escalated reservices and account recovery services as required.
  • Play an active role in distributing all KPI monitoring for the technician team (tech stats).
  • Participate in all staffing activities as directed, which may include sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Offer necessary support and guidance to ensure the quality of work and project completion by assigned deadlines.
  • Maintain the minimum required driver score to maintain use of a company fleet vehicle.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Must be able to work long periods outside in all weather conditions.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Maintain a valid driver's license.
