As a General Laborer, you will work primarily outdoors, assisting our skilled welders and fabricators in various tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient production of high-quality metal products.

Responsibilities :

Material Preparation : Assist in preparing materials for welding and fabrication processes, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning metals to ensure proper fit and finish.

Equipment Setup : Assist in setting up and arranging welding equipment, tools, and materials needed for different projects.

Assembly Support : Aid in assembling metal components and parts according to specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and appropriate techniques.

Lifting and Moving : Safely lift, move, and position heavy metal pieces, parts, and equipment using proper lifting techniques or assistive devices.

Cleaning and Maintenance : Maintain a clean and organized work area by cleaning equipment, tools, and workspaces, and contributing to general shop cleanliness.

Material Handling : Transport raw materials, finished products, and supplies within the facility using carts, forklifts, or other appropriate tools.

Quality Assurance : Inspect finished products for defects, inconsistencies, or imperfections, and report any issues to supervisory staff.

Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Assistance to Welders / Fabricators : Support skilled welders and fabricators by providing assistance and cooperation as needed during the welding and fabrication processes.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and tasks completed for documentation and reporting purposes.

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of welding and fabrication processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and other equipment commonly used in metalworking.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety protocols.
• Prior experience in a similar role or within a welding / fabrication environment is advantageous.
