Description

We are actively seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team here at Urban Surfaces Inc. If awarded the opportunity, the right candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily warehousing activities such as: quality control, productivity, production, and customer service standards. 

Duties for Warehouse Supervisor:

• Be knowledgeable of all warehouse positions and possess the ability to assist 
• Fill in and/or train associates as needed.
• Work directly with the Warehouse Manager to ensure operational needs are met.
• Research and investigate any inventory issues that arise during shifts.
• Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse (store items in appropriate places, break down boxes, take out trash daily).
• Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with Urban Surfaces procedures and requirements.
• All other duties assigned.

Requirements

•  A minimum of (3) years experience in fulfillment/manufacturing and distribution center or related field is preferred.
• Previous supervisory/lead experience 
• Knowledge of FIFO
• High problem-solving skills
• Advanced interpersonal skills
• Conflict resolution skills
• Strong organization skills
• Basic math skills
• Time management
• Work effectively with a team
• Able to work independently as needed to support the group effort
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and maintaining a high level of flexibility
• Computer competency; experience with Google Workspace and Netsuite preferred

Physical Demands: The work requires long periods of sitting as well as long periods of standing and walking. It also requires repeated lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds (all may be performed while occasionally walking up flights of stairs), as well as bending, and stretching. Must be able to work in unfavorable weather conditions such as heavy winds, rain, and extreme heat.

Working Environment: To perform job duties associated with the Warehouse Supervisor, employees will be provided with a company forklift. Job duties associated with Warehouse Supervisor will mostly be performed in a warehouse attached to a 2 story office building.
