Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle is Hiring a People, Culture, and Belonging Ombudsman Near Seattle, WA

Under the direction of the Chief Impact Officer, this position will serve as the organization's Ombudsman and advocate for fairness and impartiality, working to ensure that all parties are treated equally and that conflicts are resolved in a fair and just manner. This role will also serve as the in-house DEIB strategist and subject matter expert, ensuring that ULMS fosters and promotes an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging amongst all staff and persons.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, organization development or related field strongly preferred
  • 5 years of experience in initiating and overseeing successful diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. Diversity and Inclusion Certification preferred.
  • A profound understanding of the complexities of diversity and inclusion in both organizational and community contexts.
  • Demonstrable leadership prowess, complemented by strategic vision, and a knack for innovative, solution-driven thinking.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, adept at connecting with a range of audiences from employees to community leaders.
  • Proven track record in driving transformative change in medium to large-scale organizations, with tangible results.
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proven ability to interact with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Must have an understanding of, and sensitivity to, the diverse socioeconomic, academic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of our client demographics
ULMS Total Compensation

** Most Benefits will take effect on the 1st of the month following a 60-day waiting period
