Urban Health Plan is Hiring a Clinical Social Worker I/II (LMSW) - Behavioral Health Near Bronx, NY
Position Summary:
We are seeking Clinical Social Workers I/II (Bilingual English/Spanish LMSW) to work within our Behavioral Health Division at our Bronx-based flagship location El Nuevo San Juan Community Health Center. Our Behavioral Health Team spans across two floors, where we provide individual therapy and outpatient psychiatry support to both children and adult patients. As a Clinical LMSW you will utilize evidence-based approaches to provide quality individual therapy to our patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work from Accredited Institution is required.
- NYS Licensed LMSW is required.
- 1-2 years of experience providing counseling
- Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to identify high-risk psychosocial factors in patients and families that impact health status.
Key Duties:
- Provides bio-psychosocial assessments and clinical diagnostic assessments.
- Conducts individual psychotherapy and counseling services to children within public schools.
- Maintains skills and knowledge in clinical theory and practice to help patients overcome dependencies, adjust to life, and make changes.
- Provides counseling to family members to assist with understanding and supporting patients.
- Engages in crisis intervention when necessary and refers patients or family to community resources.
- Provides consultation to medical providers. Collaborates with physicians to develop and implement treatment and intervention programs.
- Participates in clinical team meetings.
Starting Compensation: Minimum $72,000 per year; Maximum $80,000 per year
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Onsite, Bronx, NY, 5 Shifts per week between Monday and Saturday operating hours including 8:00am-5:00 pm, 9:00 am- 6:00 pm and 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
