Expeditor

We are looking for the energetic, focused individual to provide strong leadership skills as the liaison between the front of house and back of house in the role of expeditor in our busy kitchen of our newly opening casual restaurant. The ideal candidate will take the lead in providing exception service to our guests by coordinating prompt food and beverage delivery.

Responsibilities:

· Strong leadership skills

· Excellent communication and people skills

· High standards in regard to food safety, food appeal and serving at the correct temperature.

· Awareness of correct presentation

· Possess excellent time management skills

· Calm demeanor when under pressure

· Maintain and ensure restaurant standards and guidelines for food portion are met

· Provide exceptional service by supervising correct food and beverage delivery to each guest and correct packaging of carry-out orders.

· Acts as liaison between the back of house and front of house.

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a restaurant expeditor / expo or strong kitchen experience.

· Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen

· Willing to learn each item on our menu and its’ contents.

· A team player with good communication skills

· Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure

· Good communication skills to work with kitchen staff and waitstaff

· Ability to work flexible hours/evenings/weekends

Education/Experience:

· One year experience as kitchen expo or strong kitchen experience.

· High school diploma or GED

· Food Safe Handling course or willingness to complete and pass course.
