The Role

The Urban Chamber of Commerce (UCC) is seeking a Business Advisor for our incubator program. This is a pivotal role responsible for providing expert guidance and support to small business owners. The advisor will work closely with entrepreneurs to develop sustainable business models and drive successful business performance. 

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular check-ins with businesses to offer ongoing support and advice.
• Perform continuous needs analysis to identify growth and improvement areas.
• Develop strategies for building sustainable and profitable business models.
• Advise on financial forecasting, goal setting, business best practices, and technical assistance.
• Highlight training opportunities and support services relevant to each business.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

• Self- starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an overall ability to be clear and concise.

• Exceptional organizational skills with proven attention to detail.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business consulting, advisory services, or entrepreneurship.
• Strong understanding of small business operations and financial management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
