Upwork is Hiring a Remote Virtual Assistant

Overview

In line with this they are looking for six (6) Virtual Assistants who will assist with pre-event training and assist with facilitating a virtual campus event for 150 participants worldwide from October 7-9, 2022. The role is 100% work from home opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • You will assist in facilitating an engaging, user-friendly virtual Hackathon experience for up to 150 participants worldwide
  • You will attend pre-event trainings and familiarize self with event processes and technology, best practices and protocols as necessary
  • You will integrate platforms in and organize channels on Slack
  • You will attend to attendee volunteer and attendee questions and needs over email and Slack
  • You will facilitate the technical support for webinars, meetings and breakout rooms over Zoom
  • You will coordinate with presenters regarding their materials, testing access, audio, and visual elements, running slides and polls and moderating the chat
  • You will act as host and/or emcee for all attendees, including verbal and in-chat expectations for engagement, how to request assistance, and project deadlines
  • You will provide other day-of event support as needed

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have at least 6-12 months of relevant experience as Virtual Assistant, General Administrative Assistant, Customer Support, and anything similar
  • Must have experience facilitating Zoom meetings, breakout rooms and polls
  • Must have experience using Slack platform
  • Must have experience using Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and planning
  • Must be amenable to start ASAP

Time commitment:Minimum overall time commitment: 10 hours = 2-4 hours prior to event, 8 during event (not necessarily consecutive)Maximum overall time commitment: 20 hours = 2-4 hours prior to event, 16 during event (not necessarily consecutive)
