Uptown Eyes is Hiring an Optometric Technician Near Fayetteville, AR

At Uptown Eyes, you will be a part of an enthusiastic team that is here to support each other and to excel in providing an exceptional patient experience. As part of the Patient Service team, this role is key in keeping the overall office flowing efficiently by working directly with the doctor to prepare the patient for their eye exam. Your focus on customer service and attention to detail will be pivotal in giving the patient the best possible experience at our office. A little about us first.

Some of the things YOU get to do for us!

  • Greet patient and gather history
  • Effecient and engaging patient flow for all exam types, including Comprehensive exams, problem-focused exams, and dry eye treatments (such as IPL and Low-Level Light Therapy)
  • Use of an electronic medical records system to accurately input patient data
  • Visual acuities
  • Lensometry (auto & manual)
  • A wide variety of diagnostic testing, such as Optos, Optovue OCT, Meibography, Neurolens, etc. We are progressive with our diagnostic technologies, and seek to update our equipment accordingly.
  • Administering medications and drops
  • Maintain exam rooms and instruments, including stocking and cleaning
  • Coordination of patient contact lens trial and supply orders as well as stocking of trial lenses.
  • Support other departments and team members

MUST HAVE QUALITIES:

  • Professional, thoughtful, and willing to go above and beyond to exceed our patient’s expectations

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

  • Excellent phone and communication skills
  • Strong spelling/grammar, typing, and computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Optometric Technician skills preferred but not a must. Detailed in-office training provided.

High school diploma or GED required. This is a full time position, compensated on an hourly basis.

Pay and Benefits:

$16-19.00 per hour (Experience-Based)
