Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Location: Denver Colorado

Pay rate: $45.15 - $80.79

Shift: Monday through Friday

Hours: Days

At Uptown Community Health Center we improve the health of our community and provide care that respects the dignity of each person, especially those that are underserved. We teach tomorrow's physicians and healthcare professionals to provide excellent medical care with compassion and kindness.

The Nurse Practitioner works under the supervision and direction of the Practice Administrator. This position provides patient examinations and treatments, performs various tests, and maintains medical equipment and supplies as needed. A Women's Health Nurse Practitioner focuses on reproductive, obstetric, and gynecological health for women of all ages. The Nurse Practitioner OB/GYN also assists in managing patient flow in the office and via telephone interaction.

  • Evaluates and treats patients within the licensed scope of practice; appropriately refers patients for specialty evaluation and treatment; provides preventive health advice and case management; and provides consultation to other staff.

  • Provide or arrange for comprehensive care services in a medical care ambulatory clinic setting, including laboratory and diagnostic workup and specialty referrals.

  • Participates in multi-disciplinary, team-based care of patients.

  • Provide Prenatal Care.

Licensure Required -

Current Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure in Colorado

Current Nursing License in the state of Colorado

Valid DEA in Colorado

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program

One (1) year of Nurse Practitioner experience in a Primary or Specialty Care office.

Preferred:

Two (2) years of Nurse Practitioner experience in a Primary or Gynecological Obstetrics Care office.

Enhanced training or experience is Women's Health.

Experience with Epic application and health record.

Experience working with and sensitivity toward special populations, including those with limited income, limited education, and non-English speaking individuals.

Bilingual English / Spanish, complete comprehension, literacy, and fluency in both languages
