Job Description
The manager will assist the owner with the operation of a profitable store that is focused on exceptional customer service that exceeds customer expectations. Responsible for all aspects of managing a single store including hiring/scheduling, developing and managing a team focused on the customer. Assist with the oversight of day to day store operations to achieve sales and profitability goals, customer acquisition and customer retention. Accountable for inventory quality control, budgeting, including labor cost and operational expenses. This is a hands-on, led by example position.
  • Team Development- Identifying, recruiting and properly staffing the store to ensure customer needs are exceeded while scheduling to maintain labor budget goals. Total labor goal below 20% of net sales.
  • Coaching, training and motivating team members to achieve higher performance and interaction with all customers. Must be able to address in a kind but firm manner employee related issues. Must understand that as part of the management team you are expected to take on a leadership role with priority given to operating the business in a way that creates continued business growth while at the same time maintaining a healthy and happy staff that has a healthy respect for the manager, owner and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate high values and service by leading by example on the sales floor. Shows a high level of professionalism in conversations and behavior when dealing with customers, coworkers and owner. Models excellent work ethic.
  • Understands how to lead by example, be a self motivator, exhibits high energy level, seeks to enhance personal skills by seeking opportunities to learn and understand the business.
  • Should be the hardest working employee on the team.
  • Understands that being a manager is not always a clock in- clock out on time job. Is able to recognize situations, days and times where personal adjustment in schedule must be made to assure smooth operations of the business occurs. (Ex: would see situations where they might need to work to allow for full operations of the business)
  • Willing and able to set personal, team and business goals.
  • Schedule regular meetings with team members to keep abreast with additional training, changing conditions and current fashion trends. Not afraid to address directly with employees situations where they might need coaching for improved job performance.
  • Sales and Results Driven.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive customer traffic, customer buys and customer sales. Actively engages and contributes to weekly store meetings with owner and franchise reps to address store goals and deal with store related business.
  • Adhere to company guidelines keeping COGS in balance and minimizing potential for loss.
  • Maintain a fresh and visually enticing store that is clean and well organized at a level exceeding the competition and above customer expectations.
  • Evaluate and price inventory using our proprietary buying software
  • Manage inventory through regular markdowns and merchandising
  • Manage our team of 20-25 people along with 1-2 other assistant managers, store manager and with active owner involvement.
  • Understand how to give direction with follow up, how to manage firmly but kindly, how to demonstrate good grasp of all jobs and be willing to jump in and assist sales associates where needed.
  • Understand and be willing to train buyers and sales associates along with other managers as training is a huge part of the job.
  • Understands this job is a sales floor job and involves very little administration work.
  • Has the ability to learn the business and see priority tasks needing to be done to assure retail sales and buys continue to meet established goals.
  • Able to take feedback from mentor and willing to use feedback to develop skills.

  • All fulltime managers must be willing to step in when call outs threaten ability of the store to operate smoothly due to call outs. Must be willing to share responsibility of shift coverage with manager when needed.
  • Able to help manage payroll, assure smooth flow of store operations by demonstrating, teaching and mentoring all employees on desired work efficiencies.
  • Willing to communicate clearly and professionally the needs, desires, strengths, weaknesses and concerns as they apply to employees and the business functioning.
*Must be available all days of the week, nights and weekends to share store coverage responsibilities with the owner, assistant manager and lead buyers. Average work week 40-45 hours (generally 5 work days a week) Understand this job requires some schedule flexibility as work week demands change.
*Must have a strong work history. *Retail management experience and open availability is a must! *Intend to fill immediately.

Qualifications
  • Strong demonstration of current fashion trends for core customer.
  • Strong coaching/leadership, customer service and selling skills with a take-charge mentality.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and consisting of 40-45 hours per week.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Demonstration of management skills and the go-to source for the team for creative solutions for all challenges encountered.
  • Outwardly display a high level of energy without need for motivation
  • Looking for candidate with a high degree of loyalty and true desire to help build this new business.
  • High school diploma is a must. Some college is a plus.
  • Stable work history with references is necessary.
  • Must have a minimum 5 years management experience leading large teams in high volume restaurant or retail setting.
  • Experienced resale managers salary negotiable!
