Upton County Sheriff's Office is a rural law enforcement agency serving the citizens of Rankin, McCamey, and Midkiff Texas. Our goal is to serve all citizens of Upton County at the highest level of proficiency with the utmost integrity.
The Upton County Sheriff's Office is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Patrol Deputy to join our law enforcement team. As a Patrol Deputy, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and enforcing the law within our great community. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership, vigorous dedication, exceptional decision-making skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
In this role, you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergency calls, conducting routine traffic stops, and conducting/assisting in investigations. You will also be required to prepare detailed reports, testify in court as needed, and provide assistance and support to fellow law enforcement officers both in this county as well as surrounding agencies at times. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of criminal law and possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
