UpStateMFG is Hiring an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician Near Spartanburg, SC

Responsibilities:

  • Experience and good working knowledge of processing manufacturing
  • Ability to trouble shoot and perform repairs to PLC’s.
  • Handles electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Installs new equipment.
  • Purchases parts for inventory in order to expedite repair work. Organizes spare parts inventory to allow quick retrieval.
  • Maintains good housekeeping, 5S and safety practices in work area.

Skill requirements

  • PLC trouble shooting and programming
  • Electrical/electronic troubleshooting
  • Computer literate
  • Microsoft Excel
  • High school or GED diploma, with some technical maintenance classes, certification preferred
  • 4 years maintenance work experience, preferably in the chemical industry
  • Strong background in electrical, PLC and mechanical repairs.
  • Able to read schematics and blueprints.
