Role & Responsibilities:

The Business Process Coordinator is the leader of the S&OP Project team responsible for the development and implementation of the IBP S&OP model at UNC. Lead, facilitate, and manage the overall S&OP Process and ensure that each of the process steps in the UNC S&OP are properly and efficiently executed and adheres to S&OP principles and behaviors. The Process Coordinator is the subject matter expert/ process champion and uses their knowledge of how the process is designed and should function to deliver expected results. The process coordinator works with the Executive Process Owner (EPO) and Operational Process Owner (OPO) to design, improve, and model behaviors to drive adoption of the process.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Business Process Coordinator is responsible for the following activities:

  • Coordinates the Step design team’s implementation and improvement activities to make sure that the necessary decision support and performance information for the process steps are collected and communicated for each S&OP Cycle Step.
  • The Process Coordinator will co-facilitate the Demand and Supply Step meetings with the Demand Planner and Supply Planner.
  • Monitors UNC performance metrics and ensures proper metric discussion and review within each process step.
  • This role will also be accountable for the preparation of the Integrate Reconciliation and Management Business Review communication decks while serving as the facilitator of the Integrated Reconciliation and Management Business Review Meetings.
  • Establish and maintain the S&OP Calendar by period and work with Step coordinators to ensure that all S&OP meetings are scheduled 12 months in advance in accordance with the agreed upon cadence and company governance calendar.
  • Develops and Builds an S&OP File structure repository to maintain all process documentation and ensures that all participants have access to all appropriate information to execute their S&OP responsibilities.
  • Ensure that all Process step communication decks are published 2 business days prior to the meeting and that meeting notes and action registers are published within 1 business day of each step meeting.
  • Work with Step coordinators to drive accountability to the process.
  • Develops and maintains process performance scorecard and formal approach to measure monthly meeting feedback during the startup and implementation phases.
  • Ensure effective meeting principles such as meeting agenda, action registers, and decision logs are adhered to.
  • Develops an approach for issue identification and documentation to drive accountability and decision making.
  • Monitor S&OP Process decisions to ensure alignment with company strategy and highlighting any potential strategy changes to the EPO or OPO.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field of study.
  • 3 -5 years of Process and Project Management experience preferred.
  • Project Management Certification or matriculation towards certification
  • Strong foundation in the concept of business process management
  • Experience with IBP and S&OP Process is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This position will primarily operate in a fast-paced office environment that requires a combination of team-based work with all associate levels within the business. This individual must be comfortable with presenting and communicating with management and technical staff. Individual must be able to sit/stand at workstation for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as computer, phone, copier…etc. Periodic travel to support customer interactions, process education, or process or personal development may be required.

Pay: $58,600 - $76,200 a year*

*The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
