The Upper Darby School District is seeking applicants for a full-time School Psychologist.
Qualifications
  • PA Instructional Certificate School Psychologist PK-12
  • Out-of-state educators and anyone seeking an emergency certificate should review the guidelines set by the PA Department of Education. Pennsylvania Certification information is available at https://www.education.pa.gov/Educators/Certification/Pages/default.aspx
  • MA required in appropriate major study
  • Knowledge of certification area
Essential Functions
  • Completion of school-age evaluations, re-evaluations, gifted evaluations, and Functional Behavior Assessments.
  • Consult with teachers to provide education on various disabilities and provide classroom strategies.
  • Collaborate with school teams regarding appropriate interventions for students.
  • Maintain compliance for all evaluations and re-evaluations.
  • Participation in the building threat assessment team.
  • Collaborate with school-based teams and parents to determine the need for an evaluation.
  • Complete evaluations and re-evaluations for out-of-district students, non-public school students, and students transitioning from early intervention into the district.
  • Stay apprised of testing protocols and different types of assessments that benefit students.
  • Other duties as assigned.
