Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency/Empower Upper Cumberland has an opening for a Program Specialist in Putnam County. This position serves as a Departmental Floater on a wide range of tasks within the Empower Department and is cross-trained in all Specialist and Navigator duties. This position assists with tasks as assigned by the Navigator Manager and Director, providing additional support wherever needed.

Duties include:

• Developing a thorough understanding and ability to carry out Navigator duties and responsibilities. (Full and Light)
• Developing a thorough understanding and ability to carry out Specialist duties and responsibilities. (Circles, Data, and Collaboration)
• Assisting with projects as trained on and assigned
• Covering staff’s responsibilities in their absence and attending meetings as assigned
• Entering data and reports for the management team when not on special assignment
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Director, and Executive Director

Qualifications:

• A basic understanding of the current human and workforce services systems
• Ability to process and understand agency policies and procedures
• Proficiency in computer applications to enter data, run reports, and process payments
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Great flexibility and accountability
• Excellent Time Management
• Ability to work independently and as a team

The successful applicant will possess an associate’s degree (preferred). Experience in case management is preferred along with direct experience working in or utilizing the human services system.
