Description

UPP Global is looking for Part-Time Parking Attendants for our Parking garage location in Providence, RI. The hired person will be the front-line to our customers while parking their cars in a professional and responsible way.

Position Quick Facts:

  • Pay rate is $15/hour
  • Part-Time 3:00pm to 7:00pm Monday through Friday 
  • Base pay may be raised upon positive performance review, eligibility begins minimum 90 days after hire date.
  • Sign on bonus!

Position Summary, Responsibilities, and Requirements:

Are you passionate about driving cars? Interacting with people? Are you spirited and fast on your feet? If so, we want you! We are hiring Valet Parking Attendants to be the front-line to our customers while parking their cars in a professional and responsible way.

At UPP, Valet Parking Attendants play a vital role in the success of the company. They are the first person to greet and welcome our clients and customers, and the last person they’ll interact with upon departure. A pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance! Join us for this wonderful opportunity to work at one of Providence's premier establishments, where we offer competitive compensation and flexible scheduling! Depending on the staffing need, this position may be part- or full-time and we have multiple openings. Note: Part-Time Employees (working average of less than 30 hours weekly) will accrue paid time off and have access to some benefits, but not the full package.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients
  • Provide exceptional hospitality services to all guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Transport guests via the hotel shuttle service
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Manual driving knowledge Required!
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform preventative safety procedures such as including safe lifting guidelines
  • Follows site-specific safety and security procedures
  • Uses only equipment trained to use and operates all equipment in a safe manner
  • Reports all accidents and incidents observed to Facility Manager immediately
  • Reports all potential hazards and safety concerns to Facility Manager
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one (1) month related experience and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • The ability to operate manual transmission driving skills is a plus
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • For insurance purposes, must be at least 18 years of age and willing to undergo both a criminal background check and driving record history (MVR) check
