University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is hiring a full-time OP Nurse Coordinator to join their team at the brand-new Mercy Pavillion building! This is a Monday through Friday daylight position with no evening, weekend or holiday hours. Shifts are 8am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm.
If you are looking to get into a leadership position and take the next step in your career, then this is an opportunity for you! This position is a lead role with the clinical support staff. This position will monitor clinical practices, patient flow, oversee other clinical staff, and is responsible for nursing activities and clinical care. The OP Nurse Coordinator will train new employees and monitor communication baskets. Acts as a role model in all aspects of patient and community care.

Purpose:
The Professional Nurse Coordinator is a Registered Nurse is a member of the care delivery team. The Professional Nurse Coordinator is responsible for the care of the patient in a global view, accountable for multiple aspects of the patient care package even when patient contact is minimized. The Professional Nurse Coordinator uses independent judgment and continued communication with the patient, family, physician and community resources to assist the patient in attaining a measure of outpatient health. The Professional Nurse Coordinator demonstrates a commitment to the community and to the nursing profession.
