UPMC is hiring a Full-time, General Maintenance 1/General Maintenance 2 to support the office in Harrisburg.

You will need to provide your own hand tools, UPMC will provide power tools and specialty tools. 

Schedule will include shifts during the week as well as every other weekend and a rotation of holidays.

Manager will review and discuss schedule during interview. Candidate must be willing to work all shifts as schedule could change to meet department needs as the hospital requires 24/7 maintenance staff.

Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based on experience and education.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision.
• Exhibit a basic knowledge of electricity, carpentry/hardware repairs, and mechanical equipment and systems.
• Assist with and maintain general cleaning duties on equipment and in mechanical support areas.
• Perform specific preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Perform all work following infection control procedures.
• Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis.
• Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
• Perform any maintenance work required in which skills can be utilized.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Assist in snow removal.
