UPMC Shadyside, a three-time Magnet-designated hospital, is currently hiring an experienced Full-Time Registered Nurse to support the Emergency Department. The ED is looking for a RN to work heavy off shifts (9am- 9pm, 10am-10pm, 11am-11pm) or even rotating evening/night shifts. Emergency Department experience is preferred.
About the Position & Unit:
The UPMC Shadyside Emergency Department is a 50-bed unit with a high-acuity patient population. Since Shadyside is connected to the UPMC Cancer Center, we see many oncology patients that come from around the city and beyond. We have established a designated oncology area within our ED, in addition to caring for all other patients who present at the triage desk or by EMS. We have a 24-hour cardiac catheterization lab for STEMI and we are a stroke center. The ED is a fun, fast-paced, team-based environment where rapid problem-solving is necessary to address evolving needs and priorities.
Our Registered Nurses work rotating shifts including weekends/holidays to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.
