UPMC Presbyterian is hiring afull-time Histology Image Scanning Tech to join the Laboratory team! This position is part of a growing Informatics Division and will be instrumental in sharing workflow feedback for optimal outcomes. The schedule will consist of daylight hours Monday through Friday and will work daily at a combination of Presbyterian Hospital, Magee Hospital, and the Clinical Lab Building (CLB) locations - all in Oakland.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary resource for equipment knowledge, troubleshooting, and data information regarding the imaging system.
• Load prepared microscopic slides onto a digital image scanner for pathologist review.
• Assist with laboratory slide preparation and delivery operations to limit disruption to workflow.
• Perform quality assurance evaluation on scanned images.
• Confirm slides are scanned as complete cases.
• Prepare and analyze data metrics related to imaging system reliability.
• Collaborate professionally with the digital imaging implementation team to ensure success.
