UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is currently hiring for a regular Full-Time Clinician Fellow (RN) to help support the Outpatient Medical Oncology team at the Hillman Cancer Center in Shadyside/Pittsburgh, PA.
The position will work a regular Full-Time Daylight schedule Monday through Friday overseeing the Clinic on the 2nd Floor of the Hillman Cancer Center. This clinician will manage the Nursing clinic staff along with support staff leadership. The nursing leader will have responsibilities of managing nurses, helping with room utilization, patient flow, and assisting with patient/physician concerns.
Clinicians work in collaboration with their Unit Director, management, and other caregivers to coordinate clinical activities for each shift, develop and educate staff on the unit, and improve the nursing process. Clinicians inspire superior performance on their unit through example, not only by exhibiting their own expertise in patient care assignments, but also by providing ongoing consultation and education for their team, including in-service demonstrations of new devices, equipment, and policy changes.
As a Clinician, you will be a positive force on the unit, a relationship builder who promotes open communication amongst caregivers and forges connections between colleagues, patients, and patients' families. You will also directly contribute to a culture of nursing excellence by participating in the selection, training, development, and evaluation of our staff.
