Join the UPMC Northwest team in the Behavioral Health Unit! The unit has a large focus on teamwork and collaboration and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of its patients! This position will work either 8-hour or 12-hour shifts on the weekends between the hours of 7:00 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday.The unit offers flexible schedules.

WEEKEND Program: Earn an extra 25% differential added to the base salary and requires 6 months of previous nursing experience.

 $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for Registered Nurses with 1 or more years of experience and includes a 2-year work commitment to UPMC.

 Responsibilities:

• • Provides detailed patient and family education for effective care guidance and transitions
  • Supports the development of students, new staff, and colleagues, possibly serving as a preceptor
  • Applies the nursing process in a Relationship Based Care framework to create a healing environment
  • Develops daily goals and patient-centered care plans, incorporating holistic patient needs
  • Demonstrates critical thinking in identifying clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues
  • Practices effective communication skills, documenting comprehensively to facilitate caregiver communication
  • Incorporates organizational goals to improve patient safety, quality, and satisfaction
  • Builds compassionate patient-focused relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
