Working as an Upkid childcare teacher allows you do something you love, but have the flexibility to work where you want, when you want. And all our teachers make a minimum of $15/hour! You own your schedule, while working with kids!

Upkid teachers work at childcare centers near them as backup teachers. You have the ability to work Part-time or Full-time if you choose.

Job Summary:

Upkid teachers are responsible for filling in for multiple child care/daycare/pre-school programs throughout the area. When a child care provider is sick or needs a day off, Upkid will give you the opportunity to step in and make a difference. They will be responsible for creating an environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth for the children in their care. She/he should work in cooperation with the program director and other team members to ensure a safe, caring environment.

Schedule:

FLEXIBLE - work as much or as little as you would like. But you can easily fill up your schedule because there is a big need for substitutes in Alpharetta, John's Creek, Milton area.

Compensation:

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience and location (pay depends on the individual child care center you choose to work with)

Characteristics of a successful candidate are:

• Love Children - previous experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Patient, kind, trustworthy, dependable
• Ability to address physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of each child
• Ability to collaborate and cooperate as a team member with other employees

Requirements for Employment:

• Be able to get along with and respect all Children, Clients, and Co-workers
• Ability to pass a background and Fingerprint screen
• Ability to acquire a CPR/ First Aid certification and a food handlers permit
