Metalex powered by UPG is looking to hire a Material Handler to join our dynamic team! Metalex is a growing steel service center that has been in business for almost 30 years. Successful candidates will ideally have worked in the steel industry (but not required) and have a solid level of experience with the types of specialized products and services produced by steel service centers.

We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow in this fast-paced environment. We strive to build strong relationships with our customers by providing high level of service, value-add opportunities, and professionalism in all interactions, allowing us to become a valued member of their supply chain and production teams.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Using a crane (wireless remote, 20 ton) to pull orders

Locate material, measure it for accuracy, verify that it meets requirements

Prep for delivery to load onto trucks

Load trucks

Warehouse duties as assigned

Position Requirements

High School diploma/GED equivalent

Crane operator experience/certification preferred

Able to work any shift (morning, afternoons & evenings)

Must be able to complete criminal background check and drug screen per company guidelines
