UofL Health Mary & Elizabeth Hospital is a 298-bed, full-service hospital which has served generations of patients in south Louisville. Originally founded by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in 1874, the hospital offers a full range of vascular, orthopedic, cardiac, neurological, surgical, rehabilitative and 24/7 emergency services including 24/7 STEMI service.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patients individual physician. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.Additional responsibilities for this health care role include:
Education: Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program is (required) Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program (preferred)
Experience: All new RN graduates will participate in the Nurse Residency program and must successfully complete all activities (required) Two years of hospital patient care experience (preferred)
Licensure: Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (required)
Certification: Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (may be required for specific clinical areas) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (may be required for specific clinical areas)
Note: additional, specialized certifications may be required or preferred based on unit
