JOB SUMMARY

Staff member will provide patient care to psychiatric patients, in an efficient manner, in an effort to provide quality care. This position will facilitate an exceptional patient care experience by providing direct care, and performing evaluations.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direct patient care to psychiatric patients, including individuals, families and groups.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations, interviews, and physical and cognitive examinations, while maintaining departmental billable hours targets.
• Responsible for maintaining all documentation, compliance and adhering to all departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining medical histories and ordering and interpreting laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
• Assist psychiatrists and serve as a mentor and interact with students and residents in a teaching environment, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Master’s degree in social work
• Current licensure in the State of Kentucky as a Social Worker
• Direct experience conducting psychiatric assessment, preferred
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Proficiency with Office suites, including Word, Excel.
• Proficiency with electronic mail and office machines.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records

WORKING CONDITIONS

A good portion of each day will be providing direct patient care, which is in a normal office environment. There is also the need to be able to get up and down out of a chair without difficulty, as one in this position moves to the front office frequently.
