The Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine at TheUniversity of New Mexico (UNM) School of Medicine in Albuquerque is seeking an Instructor for Pharmacology. This willbe a recruitment for Spring 2025 semester.
Pharmacology for Anesthesia Iintroduces students to the study of pharmacology with clinical anesthesiaapplications. Pharmacology for Anesthesia II is a continuation of ANES 505 withemphasis placed on the integration of clinical therapeutics of variousanesthesia medications. Successful applicants will support the mission of TheUniversity of New Mexico, Department of Anesthesiology and Critical CareMedicine, and the Master of Science in Anesthesia program by:

• Teaching masters level lectures forANES 505, Pharmacology for Anesthesia I and/or ANES 515, Pharmacology forAnesthesia II.
• Learn and apply emergingtechnologies and a variety of instructional strategies appropriate to the needsof the student population and the standards of the discipline.
• Developing clear syllabi andeffective course materials.
• Evaluating student mastery of skillsand competencies required by course learning outcomes.
• Participating in discipline,department, and school meetings and activities.
• Establishing and maintainingpositive working relationships with students, faculty, and staff of diverseethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Teaching scheduled in-person and/orvirtual classes during weekday hours. Maintain formal office hours.
