Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Helper to assist our team of electricians in various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

- Assist electricians in measuring, cutting, and bending wire and conduit using appropriate tools and techniques.

- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition and ensure that parts and supplies are organized and readily accessible.

- Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.

- Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace worn or damaged parts, and reassemble equipment according to specifications.

- Thread conduit ends, connect couplings, and fabricate and install conduit support brackets as needed.

- Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings using hand and power tools.

- Clean work areas to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

- Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work sites using hand tools, hand trucks, or heavy motorized trucks.

Requirements:

- Excellent listening skills to follow instructions accurately.

- Must be able to pass background and drug testing.

- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot hazards or malfunctions effectively.

- Dexterity to handle tools and equipment safely.

- Physical strength and stamina to work in various environments, including attics, basements, and rooftops.

- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

- High School diploma or General Education diploma required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.42 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
