Description: Nurse Educators are responsible for all aspects of nursing professional development including the facilitation of lifelong learning and providing activities aimed at professional growth, role competence and skill proficiency. Their work is grounded in evidence from the sciences of nursing practice, education, and medicine. Nurse Educators use knowledge and skills in learning theory, career development, leadership and program management. Their process includes the assessment of learning needs, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of programs within a practice environment.
Responsibilities:
Education:
For Central Nurse Educators: BSN Required with Nursing Professional Development Board Certification or eligible for certification, Masters in a related health field or education preferred.
Experience:
Minimum five years' experience as a subject matter expert in an appropriate field. Demonstrated success in designing and delivering educational programs preferred.
