University Prep Art and Design Elementary is Hiring a Learning Specialist Near Detroit, MI

Are you a passionate Learning Specialist looking for an exciting opportunity to positively impact the lives of K-12 students in Detroit, Michigan? University Prep Schools is actively seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Compliance-Driven Learning Specialist.

Compensation starting at $65,000. We offer a significant hiring bonus and are eligible for 401K on your first day. We offer excellent health, vision and dental insurance, effective immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting assessments to identify students learning needs and challenges

- Developing and implementing individualized learning plans to support students

academic growth

- Providing direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs

- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create inclusive

learning environments

- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as needed

- Participating in team meetings and contributing to students educational plans

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field

- Michigan state certification as a Special Education Teacher or Learning Specialist

- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting

- Knowledge of project-based teaching strategies and accommodations for diverse

learners

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of students
