Full time role, medical assistant needed for an interventional pain/spine practice in New Jersey. Our practice prides itself on offering the highest quality care and optimal patient outcomes. This is the ideal opportunity for a professional to get in at the ground level with a rapidly growing and successful organization.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Knowledge of the EMR is preferred; currently using eClinicalWorks.
Traveling between practice locations in Somerset and Monroe on a weekly basis. Traveling to satellite offices in Lawrenceville, Bloomfield, Jersey City, Ewing and Englewood as needed.
Cross training and working in a front desk role as needed.
Prior authorization of medications.
Setting up and helping provider with procedures and other medical treatments.
Preparation for and assisting in procedures.
Prepping and cleaning exam and procedure rooms.
Medical supply inventory control.
Coordination between departments to ensure patient care is handled efficiently.
Collecting and sending out specimen collection.
Providing office support to clinical and staff and management.
Greeting all visitors and patients.
Scheduling patient appointments.
Processing paperwork.
Answering multi-line phone.
Obtaining necessary imaging studies.
Handling all patient inquiries.
A pleasant disposition and high level of professionalism are a must! Previous experience in pain management/orthopedics/spine is preferred.
